Privacy notice
Last updated August 2026
Estelle is a chat assistant that estate agencies embed on their own websites, to help visitors get connected to the right person on the agency's team. This notice explains what happens to the information you share with Estelle in a chat. It's written to cover how the Estelle service itself handles data — the specific estate agency whose site you were chatting on is the one who ultimately holds and acts on your enquiry; Estelle simply captures it and passes it to them.
What Estelle collects
During a conversation, Estelle asks for your name, phone number, and email address, along with details about what you're looking for — for example the type of property, budget, area, timeline, or (if you're selling or letting) the property's address. It only collects what you type into the chat window; it doesn't access anything else on your device.
Why it's collected
Solely to pass your enquiry on to a person at the agency, so they can follow up with you directly. Estelle doesn't use your information for advertising, doesn't sell it, and doesn't share it with any other agency or company besides the one whose website you were using.
Who it's shared with
Your enquiry goes to the agency you were chatting with — normally by email to their team, and if they use a CRM system, a copy is also sent there so it's logged alongside their other records. A small number of service providers process the data on Estelle's behalf purely to make the chat function work: Anthropic (which powers the conversation itself), Supabase (secure database hosting), and Resend (email delivery). None of them use your information for their own purposes.
How long it's kept
Your enquiry is kept for as long as the agency reasonably needs it to handle your enquiry and keep a record of it, in line with their own record-keeping practices. If you'd like something deleted sooner, see "Your rights" below.
Cookies and tracking
The chat widget itself doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. It keeps track of your current conversation only for as long as the chat window is open, so your answers aren't lost if you're asked a follow-up question.
Your rights
You can ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Since the agency you spoke with is the one holding your enquiry, the quickest way to do this is to contact them directly. If you're not sure how to reach them, or have a question about Estelle itself rather than a specific agency, you can reach us at privacy@meetestelle.com.
Children
Estelle is intended for people old enough to be enquiring about buying, selling, renting, or letting property, and isn't directed at children.
Changes to this notice
If how Estelle handles data changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised accordingly.
